“After talking to him, he had never had a set of his own blues, so we just made it a mission to make Bob’s blues,” said chef April Howell.

Bob said he never needed the uniform since he went directly onto active duty.

“I’m happy now. I’ve never had a set of blues and now I have them,” said Baker. ,

Baker enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1944, at just 17 years old.

“I look around here, the kids who work here who are 17 are going to be in the service, I can’t believe I was 17 years-old and was in the service,” said Baker, who is 89 years old later this November.

“Martin’s loves him and I think today just really show the band of brothers that the military, that the marines are,” said Howell.

“It’s just great to be in the service and serve my country and I’d do it again if I had to. I really love the Marine Corps, I really do,” said Baker.
