A Marine helicopter made a “precautionary” near the I-15 freeway and Highway 76 in California on Monday afternoon.
A CH-53E Super Stallion crew decided to put the aircraft down after an instrument warning and it was all captured on a dash camera by the Vloggers, The Moore the Merrier.
The aircraft set down near the freeway, with no crews sustaining injuries.
According to 10 News, the helicopter remained in the field through the evening and is scheduled to return to MCAS Miramar.
Originally designed for the US Marines in the early 1970s off of the Sea Stallion design, the Super Stallion. Around 234 have been built.
A gargantuan aircraft, the Super Stallion has performed admirably, ranging from the rescue of Captain Scott O’Grady in the 1990s to participating in the rescue of US POW Jessica Lynch in the Iraq war.
There are currently around 150 CH-53Es in service.
