More Marine recruits with freshly shaved heads started boot camp at MCRD Parris Island this week but not all of them have clean cut heads.
One platoon from the 3rd Recruit Training Battalion’s India company is all female Marines.
News broke of the integrated Marine training yesterday and the Marine Corps ensured that the training would be no different now that females have been added to the traditionally all-male training.
“The Program of Instruction (POI) remains unchanged and the recruit training order continues to be the standard for training recruits,” a Marine Corps statement said.
A video of the Marines meeting their Drill instructors for a block of instruction shows both the female and male Marines receiving the exact same block of “harassment” instruction (word-for-word) despite being in different areas of the battalion training area.
