Shhh, it’s a SURPRISE!! Please don’t tell any kids, word travels fast with those ones! ๐Ÿ™‚

We have a player with a father, 21-year marine, who is coming home from deployment today. There is a planned SURPRISE at Wheatfield Park, field #1, at 4:45pm today. Two Menifee teams (Team Easton – 10U and Mustang Padres) will be playing each other starting at that time and the father plans to SURPRISE his children very soon after the start of that game.

Randy Brock is a married father of 2 children. He is also a Master Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, attached to the HMH-466 Wolfpack Helicopter Squadron out of MCAS Miramar. In 21 years as a Marine he has been on seven tours. Three have been to Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi and Operation Enduring Freedom.

During his 2nd tour in 2005 he missed his sons birth, meeting him for the first time at 4 months old. In 2006 he nearly missed his daughters birth as well. This 7th tour has been particularly difficult on the family as it is the first time the kids know why their Dad is gone. Randy’s children, now 10 and 8, do not know that he is returning this Friday. The family, local community and his sons baseball team have setup a surprise that no one will soon forget!
