On Veterans Day, three Marines were out getting their free meals at Applebee’s when they witnessed a speeding car get into an accident.
The accident occurred at around 8:00 P.m. in Oceanside, California when the driver of a Ford Fiesta lost control of the car and smashed into a palm tree.
The car launched over the curb of a grass covered median and hit the palm tree sideways, leaving the car mangled.
The three Marine quickly responded to the scene, removed the windshield, and pulled the passenger to safety. Then they continued to work on freeing the driver until paramedics arrived on the scene and took over.
According to Fox5, two of the victims were airlifted to hospitals in La Jolla, CA and one victim was taken to the TriCity Medical Center via ambulance.
The cause of the accident is under investigation and it is not known if alcohol or drugs were involved.
