Ahead of the Marine Corps Ball, Rhonda Rousey has announced that she is in a relationship and it is not Lance Corporal Jordan Haschert.
In a statement released to ESPN, Rousey said, “I don’t talk about my personal life much. That’s why it’s called ‘personal life.’” She continued to say, “It’s true that Travis and I are in a relationship. I’ve really enjoyed the time we have spent together and getting to know one another. And that’s all I’m going to say about it.”
Travis Browne is a UFC fighter that was suspended over allegations of domestic abuse from his estranged wife, Jenna Renee Webb. Browne also has two children from a previous marriage and is supposedly finalizing his divorce with Webb.
According to ESPN, Browne and Rousey are training partners and teammates at the Glendale Fighting Club in Southern California. Travis was reinstated by the UFC last month after an investigation by a Las Vegas Law firm concluded that the domestic abuse accusations were false.
Travis fights as a heavyweight and has a record of 17-3-1 since he started in the UFC in 2010.
With the news of this UFC power couple’s relationship traveling fast it did not take long for Lance Corporal Haschert to find out.
Reporters were quick to ask him how he felt about the news. Haschert told TMZ, “Damn. I really hope she doesn’t back out.” He also said, “That would be a tough fight” when referring to Browne.
It is still not known if Rousey plans to stand up the young Marine at the ball, but Browne did state, “She’s my woman and I’m her man.”
Haschert does not seem to hold any resentment towards Rousey’s new man. He told TMZ, “She’s a great woman with an amazing personality. I’m sure he’s a great guy.”
[…] While Rousey insists she is a woman of her word, rumors began swirling a few months ago, that she might back out, after she started dating fellow UFC fighter Travis Browne. […]
