BETTENDORF, Iowa – Police responded to calls of a possible shooter in Iowa according to WWLP. A witness told the news station that he was in the Marine Recruiting Center near Davenport, Iowa when shots were fired at a nearby law office around 2pm.
Witnesses heard people screaming and the sounds of a gunman trying to reload his weapon. The Marine recruiter ordered people to run for cover. As people were running, more gunfire was heard.
The area went on a brief lockdown. Police found the suspect after he fired a fatal round to the head.
