Yup, it’s that time again. Time to PCS. We’re doing it all over again, even though we haven’t been in our house a year yet. Most every time I improve upon the process, but there are times when I feel I don’t even know where to start because I’ve got so much on my plate.
That’s when I discovered this handy little checklist thanks to my USAA App…. and no, they’re not paying me anything to tell you about this, I just wanted to share this handy little tool to all of you who have it. If you want to find it, navigate to ‘Home Circle’ then scroll down to ‘Moving Soon’ — then ‘Setup a Move Checklist’
It’s easy to start and setup, taking into consideration whether you’re moving overseas or within the United States.
What I like about this checklist vs other checklists out there, is that it is completely customizable depending on your family and needs.
One thing that always eludes my mind is setting up the power of attorney. It’s not necessary in all situations, however if your military member is going to gone, or has to start work immediately, you may need to lean on it to get things set up.
Even better is that you can make your checklist work for you and remove the information which doesn’t pertain in your situation.
If you have USAA, don’t miss out on this handy tool!
