Maybe you’re like me and you haven’t bought any skincare products from the direct selling lines because you wonder if the really work. I met another military spouse who asked if I would simply review Nerium and let my readers know about my experience. I happily agreed. Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a 30 day supply for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.
Let’s start with what is Nerium? All I knew is that it was a skin care line. Julie Mayer, the representative who I worked with, informed me that Nerium provides a healthy glow by “addressing multiple concerns at once, including: wrinkles, discoloration, and texture.” Sounds good to me.
As far as wrinkles go, I’m in my mid-thirties, so that isn’t something I’m dealing with a lot of right now. But I’m always up for some healthy glow or pore reduction, so I went with it.
I simply followed this beauty regiment two times per day: I washed my face with Neutrogena’s Acne Wash on an exfoliator washcloth (you can choose you own face wash, so I stayed with one I was already using). Next I followed up by patting a small amount of water on my face and then applying either the night cream or day cream depending on what time of day it was.
Mornings: I stopped using my Borghese lotion and other facial products. After my day cream dried, I could apply my own sunscreen, or apply makeup if I wanted. I use M•A•C makeup and after two weeks, I noticed that my skin had a very smooth and finished appearance to it. I really liked the way my makeup looked when I was done – it looked more polished and professional than it had ever looked before.
Evenings: After applying the product before I went to bed, my skin didn’t look like it had anything on it, but it did have a noticeable, stronger smell that dissipated once it dried.
Aside from how my makeup looked, I started noticing how my skin looked clean (with no Nerium or makeup on) several weeks into using the product. I was shocked to discover that it actually helped reduce the annoying pink/red tone to my skin and fought off my acne. Nerium never stated that their product helps with either redness of the skin or acne, but that was the biggest benefit for me! My pores substantially diminished and my skin looked more taught and even.
I took these before and after pictures with my cell phone at 11 pm exactly 30 days apart, in the same bathroom (see left). Notice how pink my skin was before Nerium and how much smoother my skin and pores are in the after photos? I’m impressed.
I even noticed wrinkle reduction around my eyes which I’m sure would improve more with continued use. Should you try it? I say why not? They have a 30 day money back guarantee if you’d like to try it with no questions asked and no contract. Make sure you check out Julie’s website for more product information and before/after photos.
If you end up loving Nerium like I did, than the only caveat is the cost. The night/day cream combination that I tested costs $120 with auto-shipment every 30 days. The night cream itself is $80, but part of why I loved the Nerium products were getting that polished makeup look, so personally I’d order both in the future. Again remember there’s a 30 day money back guarantee if you want to try, but there’s also some special promotions below, so check them out.
For those of you who can’t afford Nerium, have you thought about joining and selling the product? Maybe some of you know people who can afford the cream and are looking to have a career doing something else. Maybe you’ve always been interested in helping people look and feel their best and would consider becoming a Nerium partner? if so, visit Julie’s website to learn if joining the Nerium team works for you.
