A young Marine from Minnesota passed away just under six months after ending his time in service.
Logan Brown joined the Marine Corps after graduating from Hastings Senior High School in 2017 and served in with Apache Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, according to his mother.
He was reported missing while struggling with mental health issues on June 14th.
“MARINES!!!! If anyone has seen Our brother marine Logan Brown anywhere in From Georgia to Minnesota area, he is driving a white 2011 Ford Fusion plate # mvp187,” a post read.
“He is not in a good place mentally and NEEDS HELP ASAP!”
The specifics of his disappearance are not known at this time, but his mother reported on social media that he took his own life on Sunday.
It is not clear what he pursued after completing his four years of service in December of 2021, but numerous people went to social media to express their condolences and remember his service.
“I wish everyone knew who Logan brown was, but for those that don’t he was such a kinda and loving person who could make anyone cackle up, not only that but he was also very intelligent,” a friend from home wrote.
“There’s no bad memories of you only goofy ones, I’m so sorry… You were always a bonus brother and forever will be, my family misses you, you’ll forever be in our hearts R.I.P Logan brown”
