Marines flying a routine flight in an MV-22 Osprey from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar made an emergency precautionary landing near Mount Laguna after onboard instruments indicated a potential need for maintenance.

The flight crew set the aircraft down in an open area of Pine Valley on December 1st around 3:45pm, according to USMC public-affairs officials.

No injuries or property damages were reported as a direct result of the emergency landing. The aircraft is expected to remain overnight until any necessary maintenance is performed.
