Sometimes, it pays to be a grunt.

US Marine officials are offering big bucks for infantry squad leaders willing to re-enlist, part of the big push to professionalize the combat-ready backbone of the Corps.

Officials with Marine Corps Plans, Policies and Operations recently announced the new incentives, including a ten grand bonus for those willing to shell out another two years with Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children- and the ability to stay at their current duty station.

For those looking to stay with the Marines even longer, re-upping for four years could earn up to $25,000.

According to Military.com, Marines willing to enter the Squad Leader Development Program can make up to $70,000, but requires a 6-year reenlistment, with 3 years in the operating forces.

All Marines interested in the program must sign the dotted line before July 31.
