The ATVs used by the US Marine Corps seem to be a hot item with the branch, despite the fact that so many of them tend to randomly catch on fire.

Of the 50 Polaris MRZR vehicles that Marine Raiders began using in 2014, the have been over 180 fires related to the vehicles.

Despite the fact that civilian RZR ATVs were recalled over ten times between 2013 and 2018, no such recalls were issued for MARSOC’s MRZRs.

According to Task & Purpose, Polaris have claimed that the safety of its riders has “always been our top priority,” and that the news against the company are “simply inaccurate.”

The MRZR first made major news when Raider Staff Sergeant Joshua Braica was killed in action during a rollover.

The MRZRs are quite popular for the Marines, as they can be loaded on MV-22 Osprey aircraft and can carry pretty much anything a recon or raider team could want to pack along.
