A Marine veteran who is now a high school teacher has now lost his job over allegations he had sex with a student.

The Mulberry High School teacher was arrested in May after he was accused of “engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old student on numerous occasions.”

According to the ledger.com, Jason Argo  “began having a sexual relationship with a student in his English class during the 2014-15 school year — soon after being disciplined for inappropriately communicating with another student.”

A Polk County School District spokesman said Argo had been employed in the district since 2010. Four years later, he was suspended for three days for ‘inappropriate communication via social media with a student’.

Argo was officially fired from his job today over the most recent allegations, WNCN reported.

According to reports, the girl told detectives that “in May 2015 on two separate dates she performed oral sex on Mr. Argo inside his classroom just a few minutes after the school day ended.”  The two also allegedly had sex at his home on another occasion after the school year ended.

Argo reportedly told Polk County deputies that he suffers from PTSD, which drove him to drink and eventually to engage in sexual misconduct.

The married father of three gained some positive recognition on social media in December 2015, after a video of him singing the “Marines’ Hymn” to his newborn daughter went viral.
