A Marine veteran who disappeared in early December after being kicked out of a local bar was found dead in a nearby lake.
Veteran Lance James, 29, went missing on December 2nd. His family started a GoFundMe account to raise reward money for information brought to his whereabouts.
James -who did two tours of duty in the Middle East- was kicked out of the Hide-A-Way Tavern on the night of his disappearance, leaving his jacket and cell phone behind after police suggested he go home.
Officials announced that James’s body was found when conducting a search of Bottom Lake on Friday. They also indicated that there were no signs of trauma, but are still looking into the official cause of death.
“He has a big heart but he wears it on his sleeve. He will make you laugh and he is by far one of the most loyal people you will meet. When you befriend him you have a friend for life,” says his sister Jessica.
