On Saturday, Police reported that 27-year-old Andre Jackson, Jr. has been charged with the murder of Josue Flores.
Jackson was arrested Friday afternoon at the Salvation Army in downtown Houston where he was living. He was discharged from the Marines back in March, 2011.
He has been accused of stabbing the 11-year-old Flores as he walked home from school on May 17th. The boy was only a few blocks from home.
Lieutenant John McGowan said there was no motive in the case and no known connection between the two.
A surveillance video of a man running down from the street not far from the crime scene led to the arrest of Jackson. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
