The suspect, Michael Green, was seen at a grocery store trying to sell an EBT card. The grocer asked Michael Green to leave and a police officer arrived on scene.

The officer noticed a pipe in his Green’s pocket and went to arrest the man. The police officer successfully placed one side of the handcuffs on, when suddenly the Green began to hit the arresting officer with the loose part of the handcuff, according to Marine veteran Daryl Tate.

Tate saw the fight taking place as he was driving by and quickly pulled over to offer assistance. Tate, a 25-year Marine vet turned civilian police officer, straddled the suspect and pulled him off the policeman.
