Marine veteran Richard Gutierrez was hit while driving his motorcycle to work when a car turned left trying to enter the road he was traveling on.
He has spent the last 3 weeks in the hospital where he is trying to recovering from brain injuries, severe internal bleeding and several broken bones.
“They [the family] have been this emotional rollercoaster from knowing that he survived, to not knowing what the future hold, to knowing that our lives have changed for the rest of our life,” his wife Christine Gutierrez said.
“He served 21 years, was involved in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Somalia, Operation Iraqi Freedom,” his wife said when describing his service in the Marine Corps.
