The plan has been in the works for several months. The couple was living thousands of miles apart; the Marine stationed in California and his spouse in Florida.

Lance Corporal Peter Allen wanted to surprise his wife for the holidays, according to WPTV.

“It’s a pretty good Christmas present. She wasn’t expecting it. I feel like, she deserves it,” he says.

Kellie, Allen’s wife went to the local mall with his family to take pictures with Santa Claus. That’s when Saint Nick asked Kellie, “If you could have anything for Christmas, what would you ask for?”

She replied, “For my husband to come home.”

Photos were being snapped and Peter stealthily made his way into the back of the picture.

Kellie was shocked when she discovered him in the photos, realizing that her Christmas wish had come true.

“It took me a second to put it together. It was such a shock. I didn’t expect it at all,” Kellie says.

The couple plans on living together in California sometime in February.
