Marine Super Stallion helicopter crashed in Yuma, five escape

A CH-53E Super Stallion based out of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar crashed Wednesday on the Goldwater Range in Yuma, Arizona.

The Marines were participating in a regular routine flight operation when the helicopter suddenly crashed around 1 p.m. Mountain time, 1st Lt Gabriel Adibe told the Marine Corps Times.

None of the five Marines aboard the helicopter were injured, according to a spokesman for the Corps’ Weapons and Tactics Instructors Course.

The crash is currently under investigation.
