A Sheriff’s Department in California has released the identity of a 22-year-old man killed in a stabbing in the Marine community of Twentynine Palms.
22-year old Dominique Clement was fatally stabbed on February 5, according to the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Department.
Mortally wounded in his apartment, Clemente was found by deputies around noon and was transported to the hospital, where he died only a few hours later.
On the hunt for Clement’s assailant, the deputies didn’t have to go far: outside of the very apartment where Clement was attacked, law enforcement officials found 25-year-old William Olivio carrying a knife.
Olivio initially complied with police orders but began resisting after being put in handcuffs, resulting in him being Tased. After being treated for minor wounds (believed to be a scuffle with the victim), he was booked in the Morongo Jail before being transferred to the West Valley Detention Center.
According to KESQ, Olivio is being held without bail.
