A Marine Corps recruiter was arrested for reportedly driving a military vehicle and stopping near kids where he’d call out to get their attention and touch himself inappropriately.

Wade Phillips, a 27-year-old recruiter stationed in New Jersey was arrested and is being held on $125,000 bail. He has been charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say Phillips called out to two children, ages 11 and 12, while they were on their way to school. He saw them walking, pulled over next to them and opened the door, hollering out to get their attention and inappropriately touched himself.

The children reported the incident at their school.

Five other incidents have been reported in the local area and police believe they may be connected.

  1. I’m not defending the guy, but HOW THE FUCK is this sexual assault if he only touched himself? That term has been stretched so far as to be ridiculous and should be either reined in or thrown off the books.
