A honeymoon in the Florida Panhandle ended in the arrests of five US Marines and one woman, after the group broke into an abandoned school in Santa Rosa County.

The Marines -who are based out of nearby NAS Pensacola- were spotted ripping boards off the windows of what was once Munson Elementary on Sunday, resulting in the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office being dispatched to the scene.

The group attempted to flee when the building’s caretaker entered the structure, speeding off in two vehicles. The caretaker took down plate numbers and provided the information to SRCSO deputies.

According to WEAR, traffic stops were made later and six individuals were taken into custody. Two of the suspects, Zachary Fuit and Abigail Carlson, had just gotten married at a nearby campground, and the group had gone to the school after the ceremony.
