A Marine stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey missing for several days has recently been found dead by local search and rescue units.
Authorities and volunteers have been searching for Sgt. Tristan Clinger, 28, who was last seen around 4 p.m. on Dec. 20th.
The Marine’s wife, Rachel, indicated that her husband seemed distraught before his disappearance, as told to NBC10. He was also listed as an “at risk” individual, according to a www.missinginamerica.us poster.
“When you’re in the military, like he felt that he couldn’t get help because he felt that if he tried to get help, they would kick him out, and he would lose his job,” his wife told FOX29. “And he just saw his life crumbling from that point, so he was afraid to get help.”
Burlington County K-9 Search and Rescue unit confirmed Sunday to FoxNews.com that the Marine had been discovered, but would not elaborate how he died, where he was found — only that they located the Marine.
Sgt Tristan Clinger was a five-year veteran of the Marine Corps, originally from Lexington, Ky.
