Marine vet killed in hit-and-run near Camp Pendleton

A Marine veteran hailing from Tulsa, Oklahoma was killed in a hit-and-run near Camp Pendleton on Sunday.

The 25-year-old man from Oklahoma has been identified as Dylan Moran. He was struck at a Valera gas station in Orange around 1 a.m., according to the coroner’s office and died at the scene.

The Marine was traveling on business in California as an independent consultant for hospitals and clinics, according to NBC San Diego.

The individual(s) involved have not been identified responsible for striking and killing Moran.

“Please help me find the person who did this, please,” his mother Elizabeth DeGeeter said.

Authorities are looking for an looking for an older model dark colored two-door Chevrolet Camaro, according to the news source. Police also report that a second vehicle may have been involved as well.
