Marine vet Mariah Natividad

A Twentynine Palms Marine pled guilty to killing a prominent 29 Palms dentist and his spouse.

Marine veteran LCpl Mariah Natividad, 23, was sentenced to eight years in a California state prison on June 21, 2017.

Natividad was with the Combat Center’s Exercise Support Division in May 2015 when she rear-ended up a truck traveling eastbound on Highway 62 near Juniper Road in Joshua Tree, according to KCDZ.

The impact of the crash forced the truck to roll over several times.

Natividad was cited for driving under the influence.

Dr. Lonnie Tiner, 80 and spouse Patricia, 75, died the next day at a Palm Springs hospital just 10 minutes apart.

Natividad will serve consecutive sentences for manslaughter: six years for the first count of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and two years for the second count.

  1. This is a leaders worse nightmare. Condolences to the family who lost loved ones. This is a lesson we try to bestow upon service members but some just don’t get it and unfortunately they learn the hard way. For all those who read this article please learn this lesson so this never happens to anyone else.

    • This has nothing to with the Marine being a woman. Drinking and driving is dangerous whether your a male or a female.
