Marine Corps veteran Guy Valentino is attempting to pull off 6,000 pull-ups in 24 hours. This ten year Marine infantryman is attempting to break the Guinness World Record of 5,801 that was set in May.

On Wednesday, to coincide with Veterans Day, the 37-year-old is working up a sweat hoping to accomplish something that has never been done before – 6,000 pull-ups in 24 hours, breaking the previous Guinness World Record of 5,801 in May.

This 37 year old has teamed up with Spike’s Veterans Operation Wellness, averaging one pull-up every 15 seconds.

“Each pull-up is for that one Marine, that one sailor, that one solider that feels like they don’t have a voice or that is suffering from PTSD or suicidal thoughts,” says Valentino. “These 6,000 pull-ups represent those who don’t have a platform to speak. Well here’s your platform. I represent them.”
