The US Marine Corps is coming under fire for pandering to Pride Month and desecration of a beloved Marine Corps movie.

The post in question involved a modern helmet featuring rainbow-colored bullets, an image reminiscent of the film poster of “Full Metal Jacket.”

“We remain committed to fostering an environment free from discrimination, and defend the values of treating all equally, with dignity and respect,” the tweet read.

Needless to say, it didn’t go well.

Jason Buttrill, a former Marine and Defense Department analyst, wrote, “F–k out of here with this. We don’t take political sides, and we don’t engage in social commentary. We kill the enemy… period.”

According to the New York Post, even government officials got involved.

“Seriously? How does fixating on differences foster cohesion and unity?” said Christina Pushaw, a spokeswoman for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Others, such as user @JackedTNT, urged the Marine Corps to abandon the folly of social justice pandering.

“Focus on building warriors and less about social bulls–t,” the user wrote.
