Marine Corps Huey Venom hits line wire while training in Hawaii

uh-1y-venomA Bell UH-1Y Venom helicopter hit a wire line while conducting routine training in a tactical training area with the III Marine Expeditionary Force around 7:44 p.m. Tuesday.

No one was hurt in the incident, according to KHON.

Officials state the helicopter did not fly back to Kaneohe Marine Corps base to ensure the safety of Marines and the surrounding community, and remains on the North Shore of Hawaii today.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
