The US Marine Corps is getting some new uniform changes, including some things that were previously taboo.

From longer hair to different color socks and nail polish many of the changes are reportedly “woke” in nature.

A statement from the USMC goes on to note that the changes were to “positively impact diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

The hair regulation affects bulk and length of hair, and will also factor in a new maximum hair length of 3 inches. Men will also be able to style their hair a little more, with allowances to “edge” hair.

According to Military.com, socks were also on the menu, with Marines now allowed to wear multiple colors. In addition, helmet caps may also be worn, with some caveats.

Maternity uniforms will be addressed as well, to include authorizing undershirts designed for nursing.
