Camp Lejeune Marine Corporal Mykael Dashiell, 22, was arrested Friday by Onslow County deputies on charges of first-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault on a female, and other charges.
Dashiell is accused of using a firearm to kidnap the woman from a local hotel. Deputies who say the two were in a relationship, say the Marine returned the woman to the hotel a short time later.
The next day, according to deputies, the Marine went to woman’s home and assaulted her there.
Dashiell made his first court appearance today where a judge set his bond at $127,000. His next court date is set for June 30, 2016.
