Marine amputee wins 7 medals at the Invictus Games

U.S. Marine Sarah Rudder lost a leg due to the 9/11 terrorist attack at the Pentagon. After her amputation she found hope through sports. First joining the Wounded Warrior program which then led her to the Invictus Games.

The Invictus Games were founded by Prince Harry for wounded veterans. Since the games kicked off on Sunday night, Rudder has won seven medals.

Rudder said, “I might be missing a leg but there are people out there missing two and three limbs or are paralyzed from the waist down or chest down. They are my inspiration.”
