EUGENE, Ore. — Marine David Busenbark went home to Oregon for the holidays and to celebrate his anniversary when tragedy struck — his car was stolen right in front of them.
“I come flying downstairs and I see my truck peeling out of the parking lot, coming around the Main Street and down Crescent Avenue,” said the veteran.
The Marine’s truck was found in a nearby town and investigators believe it’s connected with another stolen vehicle recovered.
Not only was the veteran’s truck stolen, but his wife Bethany’s car was stolen as well. They’re expecting their first child shortly.
“There were Christmas presents, there were baby stuff inside. They can be replaced but there are just some things that cant be replaced like a baby blanket his mom made for us. She worked hours on that,” said Bethany.
