A US Marine from Camp Lejeune was arrested in North Carolina for sex with a minor under the age of fifteen.
According to WNCT, Jacksonville Police say that their officers arrested 21-year-old Levi Homschek for multiple serious offences, including Statutory Sex Offence with a Child under the Age of 15, two counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child under the Age of 15 and two counts of Patronizing a Place for Prostitution (involving a minor).
Homschek was arrested off-base on June 28th and subsequently booked at the Onslow County Detention Center. Police say that the investigation is open and ongoing, while the US Marines say they are cooperating with civilian authorities.
According to the US Marines, Homschek joined the Corps in September of 2013 and was assigned to Camp Lejeune’s 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division. He has no personal awards or deployments listed on his record.
