Child Care Programs at Beaufort and Parris Island
Children, Youth and Teen Programs: Offers family care referrals (on base home day cares), School Age Care for after school programs, and CDC (Child Development Center) which takes children six weeks thru six years.
Child Development Center: Offers hourly, part time or full time child care for children 6 weeks thru 5 years.
Family Childcare: Family childcare is available for children in certified caregiver homes.
Base Boys and Girls Club: Games including billiards, ping-pong, video games, computer labs to assist with homework and computer skills. Social and welfare development including dances, field trips, pizza parties, teen councils, teen meetings, etc.
Exceptional Family Member Program: A program allowing up to 40 hours a month for children with special needs.
Youth Sports
On Base Youth Sports: Offers seasonal baseball, softball, basketball, football, cheerleading, tennis, soccer, dance and gymnastics, camps and classes for youth, plus swimming lessons and adult intramural sports.
Beaufort Parks and Recreation: Offers several programs including:
Swimming Lessons: Offered in summer.
Baseball, Softball: Registration January-1st Friday in February. Season begins in March.
Soccer: Spring registration January to 1st Friday in February and plays in March. Fall registration in July to 1st Friday in August and plays in August.
Basketball: Registration begins in October to 1st Friday in November and begins in December.
Football and Cheerleading: Fall registration in July to 1st Friday in August and begins in August.
