Miramar Base Map

Commissary: This commissary has recently been renovated and is open 7 days a week.

Exchange: Newly remodeled store with a great selection including a fantastic outdoor shopping venue. The exchange is surrounded by many other shops including commissary, foot court, and more.

 

Home Store: They have a pretty good homestore here, not quite as big as some of the other bases, but still a decent selection.

Bob Hope Movie Theater: Open five nights a week, Wednesday thru Sunday evenings. Matinees on Thursday and Sunday. $1 admission fee for ages 6+.

Clubs: Join one and have some fun. Officer Wives Club and the Enlisted Wives Club (no website)

Golf Course: 18 hole golf course with pro. For those who are stationed at Miramar, there are some great specials for you. Every Tuesday of the year, 2 hours after twilight starts is FREE golf. There is $1 golfing every 3rd Wednesday of the month. There’s even a free golf clinic 11:30am-1:00pm on the driving range every Wednesday.


Pools:
 Just about every community center has its own pool and the Marine Corps offers pools as well. The community center pools are not listed on this website.

Fitness Centers: There are a number of fitness centers on base. Most gyms have FREE personal trainers, but there may be a waiting list. There’s also a variety of classes offered.

Race: Like to run or participate in marathons? This is a great program to get involved in and geared up towards some races. Camp Pendleton next door offers many races to sign up for.

Enlisted Club: Open to E5 and below (Legends Sports Bar). Open 7 days a week with lunches and dinner available. The kitchen closes at 10pm.

Staff NCO Club: Open to E6 and above. Monday thru Friday 11:00am-8:00pm. Private events on weekends.

Officer’s Club: Open to officers, senior enlisted staff (E-6 and above in appropriate civilian attire), retirees and DOD civilians(GS-7 and above), their family members and guests.

Lunch buffet is open Monday-Friday for officers and DOD civilians (GS-7 and above), their dependents and guests.

Happy hour offering buffet, drink specials and DJ Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00pm-8:00pm and Fridays from 3:00pm-12:00am.

Other Food on Base:

Flight Line Food Court: Offering Asian cuisine, pizza, salads, sandwiches, wraps and Taco Bell.

Main Food Court: Located next to the main exchange. Offering Asian cuisine, La Salsa Mexican food, Quiznos, Sky Ranch Grill, and Starbucks.

Hangar 1 Snack Bar: Offering light lunch menu items and snacks for breakfast and lunch. Open from Monday-Friday from 7:00am-1:00pm

McDonalds: Open daily 5:30am-11:00pm

The Palms Restaurant: At the golf course serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Open Monday-Thursday from 6:00am-8:00pm, Friday from 6:00am-10:00pm, and Saturday-Sunday from 6:00am-dusk.

Stateside Café: Offering light breakfast and lunch menu items Monday-Friday from 6:30am-2:00pm

Tower Snack Bar: Offering light breakfast and lunch menu items Monday-Friday from 6:30am-2:00pm

Miramar Air Show: One of the best military air shows around.  Event is in October.

Flight Museum: Flying leatherneck historical foundation and aviation museum located on the base. Open to the public.
