Marine Corps Base Schools and School Districts
How are the Schools at Cherry Point Marine Corps Base? (any reviews are completely independent from the School Liaison Officer Office)
Information on year round schools: Start school year July 15 with nine weeks of school, then a 3 week break. Breaks are in Sept/Oct, Dec, Mar/Apr. School ends in early June. Summer break is 5 weeks.

Graham A Barden Elementary
Grades K-5. Slocum Housing.
Arthur Edwards Elementary
Grades K-5 and is a year round school. Binder Oaks, Nugent Cove. This is a great school.
Havelock Elementary
Grades K-5 and is a year round school.
Grant’s Landing
Not the best school and has mandatory uniforms.
WJ Gurganus Elementary
Grades K-5. You must live off base to go to this school. Getting an out of district pass is very hard to get for this school. Some have chosen to pay over their BAH to attend this school.
Roger Bell Elementary
Grades K-5. Bad School. You don’t want your kids here.
Tucker Creek Middle
Grades 6-8 and is a year round school. Binder Oaks, Nugent Cove: Great school. You want your kids here.
Havelock Middle School
Grades 6-8. Grant’s Landing
Havelock High School
Grades 9-12.
