Marine Corps Logistics Base ~ Albany, Georgia
Albany Georgia is tucked away in the southwest corner of Georgia. In addition to the Logistics operations, there is also the Humanitarian Assistance Program and Marine Corps Systems Command.
Southern hospitality runs through-and-through here as well as luscious acres of beautiful trees, plantations and pecan farms. Albany is known as the Quail hunting capital of the United States. Albany is also known for its efforts and historical background in the Civil Rights movement in the states.
Weather
Albany experiences all four seasons here. It gets very hot and humid in the summertime and dips down to the low 30’s and 40’s in the winter. There can be tornados in the summertime, but many of them end of being ‘warnings’, but it is still a good idea to be prepared just in case.
