Another F-35 catches fire in mid-flight, $2 million dollar loss

A US Marine Corps F-35 burst into flames mid-flight on October 27th. The pilot was not injured and landed the plane safely at its home station of Beaufort, SC.

While the pilot was unscathed, it was listed as a Class-A mishap, where damage has been estimated at $2 million dollars.

This is the third fire in three years for the F-35.
