Nov. 16–An active duty major and flight instructor pleaded guilty to possession child pornography Tuesday in federal court, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.
Jason Michael Ehret, 44, admitted to the crime in District Judge Janis Graham Jack’s court. Jack will sentence Ehret on Jan. 25.
Corpus Christi Police detectives executed a search warrant at Ehret’s residence in March after detectives downloaded child pornography files from an IP address associated with Ehret. A forensic analysis of Ehret’s devices seized with the warrant showed they contained more than 160 pictures and four videos of child pornography, according to the release.
Ehret faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000 and a maximum of life on supervised release.
