8-year-old boy named honorary Marine, has just days left to live

8-year-old Wyatt Gillette was diagnosed with Aicardi-Goutierres Syndrome and has just days to live. The Commandant of the Marine Corps has approved a petition to make Wyatt an honorary Marine.

Anthony North, a friend of Wyatt’s father, Jeremiah Gillette, started the petition saying, “I truly feel that Wyatt has faced more hardship than any Marine has gone through, and for that should be given the title. I have seen more Marines come together because of him, and feel he has truly earned the right to be among the best fighting force in the world.”
