The Marine Corps mounted color guard made a special appearance to the Caldwell Night’s Rodeo patriotism-themed night on Tuesday evening to swear in 70 new Marine recruits from the Boise metropolitan area.

Marine Staff Sgt Nicholas Beberniss relayed that the recruits will swear to support the Constitution and defend the country, as stated in the Idaho Press.

“The patriotism at events like this make us feel better about the work we do,” Beberniss said.

The Warhawk Air Museum held a flyover of World War II planes with a missing man formation to honor the service members who didn’t return home.
